I wish to congratulate the members of the class of 1961 as they graduate from their first 12 years of school. A good many members of this class are outstanding as scholars and fine young men and women who will follow their separate paths with varying degrees of success through what is becoming an increasingly complex world. I feel that all will benefit greatly from their four years at Rainier Union High School, where they, have learn- ed, in addition to the usual subject matter, obedience, tolerance, self discipline and co-operation. It is with great joy, yet a bit of reluctance we, the underclassmen, teachers, admin- istrators, school board, parents, and friends bid farewell to this fine group of young men and women. We wish them unlimited success and happ- iness in all future endeavors. 9
