Choir Choir, under the direction of Millard Leslie, was very active this year. They took part in exchange assemblies with Vernonia, received a 3 rating at the Choir Contest which was held at Clatskanie, gave a very wonderful performance at the Spring Concert, and provided the students with entertainment every Wednesday noon. Officers for this yeare were: Kathleen Rogers, president; Carolyn Pike, attendence keeper; Joanne Bentley, robe custodian; and Carol Petersen, assistant custodian. Band Band, directed by Millard Leslie, provided musical entertainment for many activities. They provided the ball games and pep assemblies with a lot of good peppy music. Marching skill was exhibited as they marched in the Salmon Derby Parade. Officers were Jim Vale, president; Yvonne Petersen, vice-president; Inez Archibald, secretary; Jerrilee Merritt, recorder; Bill Harrison, uniform custodian; and Carolyn Pike, student council rep- resentative. 28
