SALLY BROOKS CARL BLUNK GEORGE EVANS XVILLIAM RUSSEFF Sixty-three boys and girls entered Rainier Union High School as freshmen on September 9, 1940. Xlle have endeavored to do our best toward upholding tht- standards ol the school. VVe elected Wlm. Russell, presidentg George Evans, vice-presidentg Sally Brooks, secretary-treasurer, and Carl Blunk, class representative. XVe lireshmen played a large part in the activities and sports ol the school, beginning by winning second place in the annual pep stunt contest with the skit, A Turkey Day Victoryn. Several ol' the boys were on the basketball team and showed promise for the coming years. Our class advisers, Mrs. Ables and Mr. Philpott, have helped us maintain the standards that we have strived to obtain in our freshman vear.
