In the three and fortleth year of our Lord, ln the ntnth month, there entered into the House of Knowledge, sn industrious group, seeking higher education. These freshmen came from the light Grads where they had for many months been busily ngaged ln fllllng their minds with the honey of wlsdomg some were green and fresh from a far oountryg some came from farms and others from other parts of the country-such notable places as Frog Town, Boolety Hlll, East End, Falrvieve Alabama, Bunt Town, Box Town, and other distinguished places. As they dwelt ln the 'House of Knowledge' they learned the customs and habits of thelr fellow classmates. Their strangeness were away, and they became acustomed to the group and lt's ways. Their studies were very difficult and they had one dreadful fear. This was mathematics. However they managed to avold a downfall. Basket ball and soft ball were never their strong point, top honors were never gained by this class. Thelr ancestors have been traced back to the Cave Men and Cliff Dwellers. The Class really proved itself worthy of its little when lt chanced to meet Irs Lowe and her masterpiece B I O L G Y This happened to be a downfall to several members of the class A terrible flow to the girls was Home Economics, this also was dealt by hrs Lowe Many articles were made by the girls These things were called dresses, blouses, aprons, dish cloths tea towels and pin cushion Food was prepared for guest, Kthe boys of the class! The boys certalnlv went away well fed Cfed up with new cooasl The year was one to be remembered by all the members of the 0188! When the country went to war, several boys were called tc service, and others volunteered The Junior year of this olsss, was different from the previous years There was more resposnslblllty for them The largest responsibility was making preparations for the Junior Senior Banquet Now the class of seven and forty made preparation for the Banauet the fourth month and the twelfth day of the month lhen the beautiful blossoms of spring had bloomed The Junior and Senior classes gathered to celebrate the good fortune which had come to the Senlors, ln return for all their long and patient laboring at the tasks that had been set before them This, the fourth year in the history of this great and wonderful class of seven and forty had been one of joy and pleasure from the of forty s number 0, together Hooray' 'xerf e The calss has been busy making preparations to depart House of Knowledge dear ole R d S year brought to the class several vertans The class seven ls the largest graduating class Ragland has had of years the Senlors and members of the faculty have struggled with this goal ln sight At last we have reached 13 'Ilia ,sl .s ee., 2 ee. ae Ae P We , or pax Y 1 l V I , e !f ' 5 0 1 .
