Nr. Sutton was captain of the ship for two years- Then we came ashore long enough to change ships and Captains, leaving the n0ld Adminstration Boat' behind. We gladly exchanged it for our long- loved old stand-by, Dear Old Ragland High, the captain of this ship being our capable Mr. J.L. Ragland, Jr.. Ship A' HoyL Wb're off again with a group of twenty-nine very shudious boys and girls.' There was a band of four instructors, though we landed several times to make changes for better or for worse. While jolly sophomores of 1942-46, Mr. Ragland was still our captain. We lost a few and took on some every year. In 1943, we lost four passengers to Uncle Sam. They were Ray Hawkins, Ray Martin, Willard Hines and Colvin Fettus, Jr.. Mrs. Lowe was our most loyal and dependable Captain while we were dumb Juniors and Mrs. lcLendon while we were dignified Seniors. Our Junior play under the direction of Miss Xary Swafford went over with a bang. The Junior-Senior Banquet ae put on so fdshionably was something swell. Here we are, eight dashing and daring, beautiful but dumb, Seniors with Mr. J.E. Stephens as our most honorable captain. We regret that we did not have the benefit and pleasure of his influence for more tian one year. Our year bookfthe first for Ragland Highj, our Senior play, class day exercises, and social events were made sometrinf special by the hard work of the class and the careful guidance cf Hrs. IcLendon. We are landed: finished, ready to bid adiey to our dear teachers ard class pals and go on our future cruise. Here's hoping it will Le a long and happy one. May we, the Senior class of 1946, be a credit and blessing to our parents, teachers, and fellowmen. We shall long remember and appreciate the kindness, loving care, guidance, and sacrifices.whieh they have so willingly offered.
