Pledging Fill School Year Sisters await entertainment at ASA' Christmas party. Tri-Sij; entertain nishces at their Monte Carlo night. Each quarter the four sororities and the two dance clubs on campus send out bids. Rushecs then Iscgin the rigorous, but rewarding, task of pledging. For each Cotillion Club pledge, this means one day as a worm, wearing a burlap bag with an onion around her neck. The next day she oecomes a Cotillion Star. German Club pledges must spend one day as hoboes, dressed in red and white, carrying knap-sacks of treats for sisters. On the second day they are dressed as German dreams. The sororities hold rush parties each fall in dorm rcc rooms. At these parties, rushees and sisters get acquainted and make friends. After the third rush party bids arc sent out and pledging begins. Pledges and sisters work together on campus activities. Rush [sorties give everyone a chance to get aquainted. 19
