Betty Skorupa.........................Editor Patricia Koontz...........Business Manager Mary Haywood.............................Art Editor Shirley Williams..............Feature Editor McConnell Library Radford University 74779 IEN YEARS AGO when the Forties turned into the Fifties children were jumping rope and playing hopscotch and tag where Ingles, Pokie, Bolling, Draper dormitories and Peters Hall now stand. These buildings were then but a dream. As the Fifties turned into the Sixties, the dream of a new auditorium and administration building was nearing realization. What is in store for Radford before the Sixties become the Seventies? Close your eyes and remember the charge of Radford College's first president: DREAM DREAMS AND SEE VISIONS —John Preston McConnell RADFORD IN BLACK Rain . . . Rain — ond more Rain!! On the academic side of the ledger he has won international recognition for statistical study, RANKING IN TRIPLE COMPARISONS, which has been read before The International Institute of Statistics in Brussels, Belgium and a national meeting of the American Statistical Association, and is being published by Stanford University Press. The human entry shows him to be a family man, naval aviator, boy scout master, football coach, academic council member, professor, and advisor. And the student body of Radford College knows him to be an excellent teacher who is as interested in the welfare of his charges as he is in his subject. Multiply the sum of these attributes by a large quantity of human understanding and the result will equal DR. RICHARD NIXON PENDERGRASS. To you Dr. Pendergrass, it is a pleasure and privilege for the Senior Class and 1960 BEE HIVE Staff to dedicate our yearbook to you for your untiring efforts and service to Radford College.
