Polls Tell of Seniors’ Plans Timothy Ross Bentley Margaret Ann Berry Brenda Kay Bishop Second lunch seniors ham it up for the Oakleaf photographer. After graduation, will the class of ’77 ever be together again? According to a poll taken by the annual staff, the majority of seniors said they would like to attend a class reunion. Most seniors said it would be interesting to see what their classmates had done since graduation. In the same poll, the seniors were asked if they had any plans for marriage. Is It Time To Go Already? Senior Class Officers: Howard Hoyt, Secretary; Anne Fraley, President; Terri Tuck, Vice-President; and Susan Wagner, Treasurer. We walk down familiar halls in a building that has become our “home away from home” for five years. We entered a brand new school in the eighth grade and will be the first class to have gone all the way through it. Filled with excitement about the future, yet still a little scared about venturing out into the world, we discuss colleges, jobs, or even the prospect of get- ting married. Marching in and having the student body stand up for us during pep rallies and assemblies, leaving five minutes early (sometimes six minutes) for lunch, and being exempt from final exams if we had a B average were hard-earned and eagerly anticipated privileges. Wating for answers from colleges, trying to stay in the National Honor Society, and agonizing over achievement tests were some of the problems we en- countered. Thoughts of graduation fill us with mixed emo- tions. We feel relieved that we have come this far, yet we wonder if we’re really ready to leave “home.” 12 Seniors

Class of ’77 Chooses argaret Mary Bonnabeau Denise Jane Buzzard Peggy Jean Caldwell Susan Kay Carr Perry F. Carter Giordano Casas During the week in which the class of 77 chose the color of their gradua- tion attire, the halls were filled with great expectations. Green seemed to be the most popular choice, but other colors were fought for until the end. After the senior class met officially, the colors were narrowed down to green, royal blue, and navy blue. Fol- lowing several votes, the class chose green by a slim margin. The con- troversy over announcements wasn’t as great. The senior class chose white, formal announcements.
