Is It Time To Go Already? Senior Class Officers: Howard Hoyt, Secretary; Anne Fraley, President; Terri Tuck, Vice-President; and Susan Wagner, Treasurer. We walk down familiar halls in a building that has become our “home away from home” for five years. We entered a brand new school in the eighth grade and will be the first class to have gone all the way through it. Filled with excitement about the future, yet still a little scared about venturing out into the world, we discuss colleges, jobs, or even the prospect of get- ting married. Marching in and having the student body stand up for us during pep rallies and assemblies, leaving five minutes early (sometimes six minutes) for lunch, and being exempt from final exams if we had a B average were hard-earned and eagerly anticipated privileges. Wating for answers from colleges, trying to stay in the National Honor Society, and agonizing over achievement tests were some of the problems we en- countered. Thoughts of graduation fill us with mixed emo- tions. We feel relieved that we have come this far, yet we wonder if we’re really ready to leave “home.” 12 Seniors
