Prange has com- manded RADFCRD since December 1965, coming to the HUK KING after serving as Operations Officer for the Naval Ad- visory Group, U.S. Military AdvisoryCom- mand, Viet Nam and for Task Force 115. Commander Prange, of Litchfield,Illinois, began his Naval career in 1947 when he was commissioned as Ensign at Purdue University through the V-I2 and NRCTC Programs. After gaining his commission, Commander Prange served in several ships, and staffs, including assignments as Executive Cfficer of the USS SHENANDOAH QAD-203 and Commanding Cfficer of the USS FIRM QMSO-4443. The captain and his wife, Bo, are the proud parents of a crew of fiveg Sarah, William, Ida, Kathryn, and Heidi, ranging in age from 15 to 5. ', N VA With his familiar clap of the hands and his LET'S GO! spirit, Commander Prange has lead the FIRST TEAM through a most eventful and memorable WESTPAC CRUISE, 1966.-

EXECUTIVE OFFICER Lieutenant Commander William W. Ferguson has served as Executive Officer of RADFORD since June 1965. The Com- mander reported from duty in the Penta- gon where he served as the Assistant CNO Communications Officer. Following twelve years of enlisted service LCDR Ferguson was commissioned Ensign in 1953 as a member of the first inte- gration class at Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Subsequently he received his B.S. degree at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. The Commander has had a distinguished career with assignments to a variety of ships- and staffs. His duties with RADFORD have helped make this an enjoy- able cruise for all hands. 'YZ' if f X 4 .
