it Y . I ., X - f 3 YY ,,,i x x --x' W ,P ' ..1Ggfj. ,Rf Adele Smith The senior class of 1963, your sister class, is happy to welcome you to Radcliffe. We look forward to meeting you during Orienta- tion Week and to discussing our impres- sions of Radcliffe with you throughout the year. Your senior sisters will be available at all times to answer questions and offer their help and advice. Radcliffe provides an excellent setting for the deepening of interests discovered in sec- ondary school, the exploration of new fields of learning and the development of mature independent judgment. Under the guidance of the distinguished Harvard faculty, students are able to pursue independent research pro- jects and to seek the relation of one specific course to broad, interdisciplinary problems. In addition, we feel that Radcliffe students have the opportunity to know and work closely with both a sensitive Radcliffe Ad- ministration and a community of fellow- students drawn from many states and coun- tries. Above all, we hope that you will enjoy and experiment with your four years at Radcliffe. Elizabeth S. Fainsod President Class of 1963 On behalf of the Radcliffe Government Association I am happy to welcome you to Radcliffe College. The Radcliffe Government Association, composed of all undergraduates and of rep- resentatives from the administration, includes numerous committees and clubs ranging from the Committee on Admissions Policy to the Harvard-Radcliffe Skin-Diving Club. Its Legislature establishes social regulations for the undergraduates and when appropriate makes policy recommendations to the ad- ministration. By participating in the activities of the Association you will be able to meet girls from all dormitories and all classes. You will be able to pursue most extra-curricular interests and to help us make Radcliffe a better college. I am looking forward to meeting you in September and I hope that each of you has an exciting and successful year at Radcliffe. Adele Smith President Radcliffe Government Association Elizabeth S.
