According to the custom, we were initiated by the sophomores at a party. In our first class meeting, we elected the following members to serve as our officers: President, Daniel Euler; Vice-President, Marilyn Roush; Secretary-Treasurer, Janet Beegle; and Reporter, Phyllis Cozart. To finance the expenses of the freshman initiation in 1953, we assessed each member a certain fee. In 1953, we selected from our fifty members these officers: President, Carol Salser; Vice-President, Marilyn Roush; Secretary-Treasurer, Robert Beegle; and Reporter, Janice Gillilan. In 1954, the forty-two members of our class began to finance our anticipated senior trip to New York and Washington. We presented a three-act comedy, “Great Scotts, and carried out other fundraising campaigns. Our officers were: President. Robert Beegle; Vice-President, Carol Salser; Secretary-Treasurer, Ruby Holter; and Business Manager, Daniel Euler. Our senior year of 1955 and 1956 was filled with excitement for us. We presented our play Feudin' Over Yonder and in other ways earned money for our trip, sponsored ‘‘The Racina, took scholarship tests, and looked forward to college or the achievement of other goals. Our chosen officers were: President, DonHayman; Vice-President, Ruby Holter; Secretary-Treasurer, Phyllis Cozart; Business Manager, Carol Salser, and Assistant Business Manager, Robert Beegle. Our membership has now decreased to twenty-nine.
