CLASS PROP!-IECY 1313 Main Street Racine, Ohio February I8 1958 Dear Ann I m sorry not to have answered your last letter sooner but I have been busy working on an 1tem for The Senttnal It is a class history of the students who graduated from Racme High School in 1948 Iwas surprised to ftnd that most of the students have stayed around here but I suppose that xt is due to Racine s sudden and huge growth. Do you ever hsten to Don Diddle and Paul Hilldore s rad1o program over station R A C ? It IS called Krazy K1d's Quiz and is really very amusing Dennis Manuel has a program over the same station Have you heard he was voted the Swoonman of the Ohio Valley last fall! Did you know that Alan Carson owns a large l 000 acre farm just north of Racine? I hear h1s amrnals have won state and national blue ribbons Milton Canter and Oris Smith also have large farms near lus They can sell all of their products at Racme smce the population has so mcreased The town is glad to be able to get fresh foods so close by I saw Betty Pearson Thelss recently when she was here on a v1s1t from Oregon She told me she loved lt there but she wished that Roger could fund work here She has employed Helen Southall as governess for her children, junior and Lou. I also saw Bill Shelton fwho 18 now a news photographer, yesterday snapping a picture of the farned actress, Bettta Pickens who was here on a personal appearance tour She 1s currently starruxg in My Favor1te Redhead with Rob Slope She gave me a cheery Hello as she hurned by As yet, Mary Simpson has not said yes ' to Ernie but he 1s as faithful a lover as ever She IS the featured pianist at Don Roush s famous Duck Club ' Betty Roush holds the spotlight as leadmg vocahst It s quite a show Olwer Cadle IS a mathematics professor at the Wolfe Umversxty now It is narned after Thomas Wolfe the founder Tom has retired now to his large country estate with hls wxfe Hazel fliaymanl and their three children I met Laura Mxller and Manon Salser on the street today as they were on themr way to the hospital where they are now employed Laura had just received a letter from Thelma Cozart who is 1n China Thelm's husband Bob has been promoted to General I'll bet she 15 proud of lum' I often see jean fworthingtonl Grimm in the yard w1th her children when I pass the1r large wh1te home m the suburbs of the ctty Jean and Ralph have fwe sweet httle IJOYS who always wave to me as I pass Ralph has been teachmg them to play basketball By the way how 1s Bud s barber business domg?
