HOMK KCONOMICS Tin Vocational Homo Economics department is one of the largest in the high school with sixty girls enrolled. The course is npcraicd on the two-year program instead of the three or four year program as in some schools. Mainly freshmen and sophomores are enrolled. Oassmom instruction is centered around various home projects which are carried on by all the girls. Home Economics I is based on the girls personal and home living problems. Home Keonomies II aims to prepare the girls for broader living in her home and community. It aims to better develop the personal characteristics which seems most essential in democratic life in home, school and community. Vocational Agriculture which, in addition to providing for scientific instruction in farming, offers an opportunity for group activity of a cooperative nature through the F. F. A. chapter activity-program. Membership in this organization entitles the student to such recognition and privileges commensurate with the degree he holds. Recognition, leadership and thrift are the cornerstones upon which the yearly program is erected. MOTTO “Learning to do. doing to learn; Learning to live, living to serve.’ 23
