SHORTHAND Only one year of Shorthand is given at our school following an invest igation ol records which showed that a very small percentage of KHS graduates continued in Shorthand work. Our textbook is the dreg Manual, while numerous letters are dictated from outside books by Mr. wolfe. The above class is also a group of advanced typewriting students, who. along with the beginners, are taught by Mr. Fisher. hook k ekpixg I his years class was the largest in the history ol the school, starting with a registration of fifty-five. Twentieth t entury Hookkeeping and Accounting is covered by text, workbook and practice sets. We have a double laboratory period each day. with no outside assignments. SCIENCE Science is one of the most popular courses offered in theschool. The four year course includes General Science. Biology. Chemistry, and Physics. NOON HOCK In the tall and spring those students who bring their lunch eat and relax on the spacious campus in front of the building. In unfavorable weather they eat in the gym. AGRICCETCRE HOME EC The above picture is the Freshmen sewing group of Home Economics I. They are at work on the new’ sewing machines purchased this year. These Agriculture I students are made up of Freshmen and Sophomores. A few of these also take Farm Shop. Agriculture students may earn 1 1 4 credits per year by satisfactorily completing a summer home project. 19
