Sophomore Class I-iistory In September, 1937, we entered high school as Freshmen. The total enrollment was seventy-two. At the first meeting we elected Charles Wolfe as Presidentg Ruth Moore, Vice-Presidentg Mildred Morris, Secretary-Treasurer. As a whole, our first year was very uneventful. When we returned to resume our studies as Sophomores, we found that our class had decreased to sixty-two. Early in the year Ruth Moore was chosen as President to guide the class. Mildred Morris was elected Vice-President. and Mary Mildred Shain, Secretary- Treasurer. The crowning event of the year was the Freshman Receplion given by the Sophomores in December. Necessary funds were earned for this affair by .selling Christmas cards. We finish the term with thirty three girls and twenty-six boys. We hope to see each of these faces when we return as Juniors next year. -Ruth Moore .

Freshmen Class History In September of 1938 the Freshmen Class enrolled in the Racine High School with seventy members. We were initiated by the Sophomores for three days. The class election was held soon after and the following officers were elected: President, Beryl Wolfeg Vice-President, Pauline Deckerg Secretary-Treasurer, Wilma Barnitz. During the first semester the Sophomore Class gave a party in our honor. The Freshmen in Mr. Fisher's room won the magazine contest sponsored by the school. This entitled them to a theater party at Middleport. The show, Thoroughbreds Don't Cry, was enjoyed by all. Having been successful thus far, we hope that throughout the remaining three years of our high school course we may achieve greater things. -Marion Simpson. i
