SENIOR TRIP IA carbon copy of the following letter was sent to our school after the trip. J May 25, 1966 Our group at My Old Kentucky Home. 088888184 Ohio Valley Bus Company P. O. Box 1270 Huntington 14, West Virginia Attention: Mr. O. L. Elam Re: Raceland Kentucky High School Dear Mr. Elam: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the Ohio Valley Bus Company for letting us serve you and the Raceland High School group. As you know we are always skeptical of taking high school groups be- cause we have had problems in the past. However, with the Raceland group of 1966, this was not the case. We were pleasantly surprised and would like for you and the officials of the Raceland High School to know we are proud they are graduating such nice young people. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to serve you and the Raceland High School group. Cordially, KENLAKE STATE PARK Signed: Ernest J. O'Banion, Jr. Park Manager

BESIDES STEEL AFIMCO IS IN THE EDUCATION BUSINESS WHY SHOULD A STEEL COMPANY be in the edu- cation business? WE ARE CONVINCED that the continued growth of our company depends upon the training and abilities of our people. A VARIETY OF FREE COURSES is offered to Armco men and women. Courses range from blue- print reading to advanced metallurgy and man- agement. Some of our teachersfare university professors. ARMCO'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM helps em- ployees to learn more about job skills, company operations or earn credit toward college degrees. ONE OF EVERY FOUR Armco employees enrolls each year in a company training class or a univer- sity course. Our students know that it takes trained brains to make and sell steel. They know that they will earn bigger paychecks as their un- derstanding and skills improve. HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES who qualify may take advantage of more than 100 different training programs. Some become skilled journeymen after four years of on-the-job and classroom instruc- tion. Others take courses at colleges and univer- sities. And Armco pays the tuition. IT TAKES TRAINED BRAINS to make steel. This is why Armco is in the education business. And this is why we urge you to finish your high school education. Whether you plan to work for a steel company or in some other field, we are sure you will discover that it takes trained brains to get ahead today.
