Friends are nice to have Friendship is a very important part of high school. Togetherness provides a sense of security. Being able to share is all a part of growing up. Sharing secrets, laughter and tears are bene- fits of a friendship. Having someone to sit down and do your homework with or just simply having a friend around is always nice. Janet Wright crowns Cornelius Billingsley, our Seniors Eric Roller, Erin McDaniel and Junior Powder Puff King, starting a new tradition. I Mitch Crawford enjoy their lunch on Hawaiian day. At least, Erin is smiling about it. JJ. Spirit alive in ' 85 Spirit week is a special week full of excitement and pep. The theme was This year we win again . Decoration day started off the events of the week. It took place on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Everyday of the week is specially named. Monday was Come As You Are Day , Tuesday was Hawaiian Day , Wednesday was Rambo Day , Thursday was Jersey Day , and Friday was Color Day . Students colorfully outfitted them- selves according to each theme. On Thursday the Powder Puff game and the Tug-of-War events took place. The Powder Puff game was between the senior girls and the junior girls. The Tug-of-War contest was between the sophomore girls and the freshman girls. The sophomore girls won. And the seniors won the Powder Puff game and were the first class in the school ' s history to win the game in both their junior and senior years. On Friday the week of spirit was climaxed with a victory over Dwenger and a Homecoming dance. f Chris Lancia, Evelyn Littlefield Sharalynn Shubert and Brett Vannatta would rather be in Hawaii on Hawaiian day.
