January Thaw sparks humor I ' m here, I ain ' t here in New York State! , yells Uncle Walter, who has come by to inform the Gages that Matt is back. I saved a cow! exclaimed Herbert Gage as he proudly told his family about his heroism. That was just one of the many hysterical lines tossed across the stage during the 1984 fall play January Thaw . The plot centered around the Gage family, who recently remodeled a broken down, old home in Connec- ticut. Under an old deed, however the house belongs to an old country couple named, the Rockwoods. They have been gone for six years. Mrs. Rockwood assumed they were dead and bought the h ouse. But, the Rockwoods returned! The laughs began as both families fought for possession of the house. The combined enthusiasm of the student body and faculty, along with the excellent performance of the cast under the direction of Mr. Terry Tucker, made this an event to be long remembered.
