Cindy Hogue and Jerry Fitch show their spirit on Hat Day. Student Life Everyone from Snider High School can relate to the 8:00 to 2:35 syndrome. Students found many ways to get through the day by talking in class, passing notes, falling asleep or just paying attention. Of course, many activities helped when those forms of time killing didn ' t work. For example: Homecoming, Winter-Spirit Week, and Pep sessions. Just spending time with friends seem to put a break in the day, or sitting around talking about what you did over the weekend or the B+ you got on your test. One thing is for sure, the student life at Snider was never dull! Dr. Gene Buzzard was voted to kiss Bliss the pig at one of the pep sessions. Pajama Day, Punk Day, Beach Day, 50 ' s Day, and Black and Gold Day were the line up for the 1983 Spirit Week. While people were having fun dressing up at school, the juniors and seniors were getting tough on the footPall field for the Powder Puff game. For the second year in a row, there was a surprising upset with a victorious win for the juniors. First prize for the car decoration contest was won by junior Angie Morrell.
