Christmas at the zoo A highlight of each school year is the Foreign Language Department Christmas Open House. Each year it attracts more and more people from all over the Fort Wayne communi- ty. Many schools make field trips to Snider during the day to view the language rooms and all the projects prepared by French, German, Latin and Spanish students. This year the projects were created around a specific theme Christmas at the Zoo . Students in all levels of foreign language also prepare music, songs, and dances to entertain guests and even provide re- freshments for all the visitors. It is a festive occasion which generates enthusiasm throughout the school. Senior Diana Davies acts as mistress of ceremonies for the evening. Visitors wander through the lifelike surroundings of a decorated Spanish room. Jeff Clark and Tina Johnson prepare for the Mexican Hat Dance. Latin students display their projects and traditional toga. 14
