Everybody needs reading, writing skills Snider ' s English department offers a wide variety of courses designed to meet the needs of all levels of students. Particularly popular are the college-oriented courses which teach definite skills needed to succeed in higher education. Research Paper Writing, Advanced Composition and Senior Advanced English attract a large number of college-bound students year after year. Also useful to students are the multitudinous reading courses such as: Individualized Reading, Reading Techniques, Exploring the World of Adventure, Studies in Non-Fiction, Mystery and Suspense etc. Not forgotten are the sequence courses which last all year round and still have their share of student interest: Traditional Sophomore English, Junior English Senior English still survive steadfastly in the vast array of elective courses. TOP: Stacia Wallace shares a humorous selection from her English book with Nancy Dietz. ABOVE: Marcus Tharp smiles thinking of his relief in turning in his English paper.
