1 Record turnout enjoys Wilson ' s Music Man 99 What this town needs is a boys ' band! And so started Harold Hill ' s swindling pitch to the citizens of River City. Meredith Wilson ' s Music Man , was presented by the Fine Arts Department as its spring musical. Mark Bloomquist earned the honor of portraying Harold Hill, the Music Man . Robbie Grissom played the roll of Marian Paroo, the librarian who finally changes Harold ' s purpose in life. Other major roles were Mayor Shinn portrayed by Bob Aspy, and his wife Eulalie McKeknie Shinn played by Judy Meyer. Dancers, townspeo- ple and children were portrayed by scores of other students. The combined efforts of the directors, cast, stage crew, and orchestra can be at- tributed to the immediate success of Mu- sic Man . For the first time in the history of Snider, the play was put on an e xtra night so more people could have the opportunity to see it. The cast performed to sell out crowds for four consecutive nights. Below: River City citizens anticipate the arrival of the Wells Fargo Wagon and speculate on what is being delivered.
