Research on careers and their opportunities, encourages stu- dents to decide their choice of a career. In certain business classes, awareness of finances, the stockmarket, merchandice and products is taught and this enables the student to capitalize on opportunities. Among the courses which Snider presently has are Personal Typing, Typing I and II, Shorthand, Bookkeeping and Accounting, Business Law, General Business and Clerical Practice. Typing and Shorthand are advisable for college bound students as well as students who wish to go into clerical work. General Business offers an understanding of our business system which enables the student to be a better worker and or customer. Clerical Practice is the most practical course which any student who plans to work in a busi- ness office can take. Business Law develops an understanding of personal rights and personal obligations in business transactions. Future law students should find this course helpful. Departments-29
