Operation Howdy is a Success' Howdy Week is held to welcome new and returning students to Paschal. Friendly spirits combined with loads of fun made Howdy Week a memorable experience. At Paschal's Howdy Rollerskating Party, the seniors joined together to recreate the age of tacky polyester. Rhine- stones and brightly colored bellbottoms added just the right touch of class. Junior Sean O'Brien remarked, lt was really groovy. It was nifty skating with my friends, but got dangerous i when people rolled over my fingers and smushed them. lt's true many people did end up with outs, scrapes, and bruised knees. However, despite minor injuries, most feel the roller- skating party was a blast. Dressed in doctors' scrubs and nurses' outfits, the students attended the Paschal Memorial Howdy Dance the following Saturday. They rocked 'n rolled to the music of guest band, The Nurse, until midnight. This year's Howdy Dance was one of the largest Paschal has ever had. The attendance of over eight hundred people made Operation Howdy a huge success. f 1 t 1 i , r . 1 -,.. t . x 5 if if 64 l ' T tfi in fed ' ' , B 9 f T ' 'P ' wwf Seniors show creativity while Beth Summers displays janitorial skills

Dr. Radford Gregg, report to the emergency room please. This may sound like a hospital, but ac- tually it was Paschal's halls during Howdy Week. During Freshman Orientation, the Leadership Committee put on a Howdy skit to welcome the freshman interns. Paschal's Memorial Hospital foyers were decorated with doctor bags, pills, medicine bottles, nurse hats and ban- daids, each bearing the name of a freshman intern. The name tags were for the freshman so that the upperclassmen doctors would know who they were. The next activity involving the entire student body was Club Day. Everyone could sign up for their favorite clubs. The Spanish, French, Penta, Latin and Science clubs were represented along with many others. The students could have signed up for the Future Business Leaders of America or Paschal's Mock Bank. Paschal's Memorial Howdy Week turned out to be exciting. .xg '. K 'N 1 iw My ' Mx.. , gs . , K W .
