As their project for the year, the junior Historians devoted their programs to a study of the history of Tarrant County. Many of the members entered the contest sponsored by the Texas Historical Society, in which prizes were offered for the best essays on Texas history. Hattie Lee Stanley and Jack Counts attended the State Convention at Austin in April to give talks on some old letters of historical value found in Grapevine. Page One Hundred Fifteen

The Penta's larg- est undertaking for this year is the Slide Rule class. The Penta Club awards ribbons, letters, and pins to honor math students.
