Hurley PANTHER STAFF MAKES HISTORY BY DEDICATING 32nd YEARBOOK TO AVERAGE STUDENTS Well, if you're stuck, you'd better ask Horace. He can do it. And do it he has from can did camera snaps to write-ups of at least half the book. He even arranged for the publicity in the Pantherette by writing it himself. But the rest of the staff has been busy, too, even if they didn't work on everything at once. The biggest job has been typing the write-ups, captions, and headlines. And Levena Cor- nell, Leta Oudkirk, Elizabeth Thomas, and Ioan Snider have had their hands full almost every afternoon. Classifying pictures was another headache, and virtually everyone had a share in that. Hugh Brous's worry has been gathering facts for the cadet section, and Mary Alice Wil- son, Mary Faulks, and Ruth Swanson have done a smiliar job for the clubs. Counting votes for the favorites was another of those tedious jobs that took a lot of careful- ness and was very important, as Carl Parker, Elwynne Roberson, Elaine Townes, Barbara Brown, Billy Harker, lanice Echols, Evelyn Wheeler, Wilda Williams, and lack Reichenstein can tell you. The people who have gotten those snapshots for you are C. M. Grubbs, Pat Hogan, lacque- line Clark, Winston Pritchard, and, of course, Horace Busby. Getting advertisements from business men, firms, and schools takes lots of time and salesmanship. Donald Samanie, Kelly Shyroc, and lean Powell could give a course in selling ads by now. loyce Melton has had a one-man for one-woman? job of pasting pictures. And those stu- dents who went to Denton to represent Paschal in the State High School Press Association meet were Betty Norman and Donald Samanie. P gl Om' Hundred Ten
