PASS IN REVIEW I having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of do solemnly swear lor affirml that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter, so HELP ME GOD l Summer Camp, finally over. Each cadet undoubtedly felt some degree of pride at having successfully completed summer training. The memories of Fort Lee will always linger with each man, for, who could forget the many friends made and the knowledge gained during the encampment. lt had been an excellent six weeks, but everyone was happy to leave hot and humid Virginia and the rigorous training program. True, it had helped prepare each student for one of the most important jobs in our nation - - - that of becoming a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve. 94
