TO: THE MEMBERS OF THE ROTC CADETS: The Quartermaster Corps is both pleased and proud to have so many of you fine young Americans serve at Fort Lee during your ROTC Summer Encampment. lt is our sincere wish that your 1955 Summer Encampment training will prove to be both profitable and enjoyable, and that- as a result of such training--your understanding of the Corps' logistical and tactical responsibili- ties will be greatly enhanced. I Each of you serves at Fort Lee as a representative of a leading American College or University, the schooling which you have undergone to date will play an important role in deter- mining your future success in whatever career you choose upon completing your formal educa- tion. By the same token, the Campus at Fort Lee is the scene of a part of your preparation for the defense of democracy and the preservation of a free worldg your earnest participation in the courses offered here may some day result in the triumph of Truth over falsehood, of Hope over fear, and of Godliness over godlessness. If this be so, then indeed you will have con- tributed much to society. May we wish you well in days to come.
