OBJECTIVES ACCOMPLISHED HEADQUARTERS 1963 ROTC SUMMER CAMP Indiantown Gap Military Reservation Annville, Pennsylvania To The ROTC Cadets: You, the cadets of the ROTC program, have been closely watched during the six weeks of rugged training held in 1963 at Indiantown Gap. As senior officers and noncommissioned officers in the ROTC program we were priviledged to observe the conduct of training and the perform- ance of the cadets during that training. It is our opinion that the Summer Camp achieved its goals most successfully and that its mission of pre- paring potential commissioned officers for the United States Army was met in every sense. Much of the credit for a highly satisfying encampment goes to you, the cadets. Your enthusiasm, esprit de corps, aggressiveness, and spirit of cooperation matched the hard work and planning involved in organizing and operating the camp. This reflectsicredit on the members of the Active Army and the ROTC cadets and justifies the belief that Americans, when given a challenge, can meet that challenge successfully It has been a rewarding experience to have shared in both the hard work and the companionship which were a part of the 1963 ROTC Summer Camp. I take this opportunity to congratulate you for your accomplish- ments and to wish everyone connected with the camp in any way, staff, instructor group, supporting elements and cadets, success in the years N. G. BASSITT Colonel, Infantry Deputy Camp Commander ahead.
