Symbany members senior Tracy Biscomb and sophomore Travis Barlow perform the opening act at the Lion Revue in October. Presenting a Revue Performers showcase talent Approximately two hours and 23 acts long, the Lion Revue was staged by the choral de- partment Thursday, Oct. 22, in the auditorium. Some of the skits presented included the Student Senate do- ing a segment of a soap opera called Rich People in Trouble, junior Paul Gilmore and senior Rob Laney doing a comedy rou- tine called Who's on First, and the Thespians doing a rap about our school. Some of the songs that were sung were done by senior Rob Laney singing Misty, fresh- man John Solis singing Memory, a band called the Archives playing Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive, and senior Julie Scott singing reli- gious ballads. Some of the dances were the varsity cheerleaders doing a cheer, sophomore Christina Connell dancing to Showdown, the Lionettes do- ing a dance to Boing Boom Chuck, junior Jennifer Davis doing a ballet dance, the choral ensemble doing a song and dance routine to lt Don't Mean a Thing if You Ain't Got That Swing, the Flag Corps doing a routine to Louie Louie, and the junior-varsity cheerleaders doing a dance to Tricky. Other acts included senior Logan Flatt playing the bari- tone, senior Samona Wilcox playing the piano, and senior Brandon Sherbert playing the drums. The masters of ceremonies - seniors Robin Stacy, Rob Laney, Dusty Haws, and Sherry Tackett - helped the show run smoothly by entertaining the audience while the acts were setting up. Robin Stacy said, l think the Lion Revue went smoother than ever this year. The variety of acts interested the majority of the people in the audience. l'm glad the show was a bit shorter this year because the audience wasn't so tired by the end. Performing a skit, seniors Rob Laney, Dusty Haws, and Clay Palmer keep the audience en- tertained between acts at the Lion Revue Oct. 22 in the auditorium.
