When the bell sounds at 2:00, our day is just beginning! Many of us remain on campus to participate in school-related activities. We have practice for sports, the Band, Cheerleading or Dancing Boots. Several of us have work to do for various clubs, as well as meetings to attend. We meet our friends on the Landing to talk about the school day and to make plans for the afternoon or evening. Often we support our teams at athletic events, or just watch the teams practice, We have fun in whatever we do, whether it's enjoying an afternoon snack or simply relaxing alone or with friends. Although classes demand the majority of our day, we still make time to play!

RJR 'S TUD NTS ' GET I VOL VED 20fFeatures Each year many of the service clubs at Reyn- olds hold fundraisers and drives to help serve our community. The RJR Key Club holds an annual Canned Food Drive, starting around October and ending on Thanksgiving. During this time, each service club requires its mem- bers to donate a certain number of cans. Not only do service club members participate but the entire student body gets involved. The cans go to Crises Control, which then distributes them to needy families. The Industrial Arts Club sponsers a Toy Drive which brings toys to needy children at Christmas. The club works hard after school to repair the toys and orga- nize them in boxes. The service clubs also par- ticipate in projects such as working at Red Cross, ushering at the Stevens Center, cleaning their courtyards and the school grounds, pick- ing up trash along Runnymeade, Soup Kitchen, helping with Christmas Clearing House, and working at The Mental Health Center. The student body at RJ Reynolds uses many oppor- tunities to spread the joy that is found at Reyn- olds. The tradition continues as we help the community in every way possible. Eric Freeman concentrates on Hxing toys to be sent to needg children.
