Sept. 5 16 26 23, 30 IT HAPPENED IN QUITAQUE HIGH SCHOOL School begins again. New teachers and new subjects offered in high school: Mr. Parker-Voc. Ag., Mrs. Crabbe-Home Economics, Mr. Bourns-Public School Music and 8th grade. Our football team lost two good ball games, then tied Silverton 7-7. We decided to attempt our first annual. School pictures taken,Annual Staff Se- lected lPoor dopesl. 27 Organization of first P.T.A. Mrs. .Toe Bedwell, Pres. Oct. 21 Won first football game of year, Estelline 19-6. Nov. ll Defeated Price College 20-0, crowned .To Dean Bedwell Football Sweetheart. 29 Begin successful basketball season for boys. Defeated 49-19. Dec. 8 9, 10 Matador Lions Club Tournament. fOutcome not presentablej Floydada and Spur winners. 16 Football banquet prepared by mothers and served by H.E. dept. Swell food! Jan. 11 12 Mid-term Exams-Woe is Me! 19 20 Tulia Invitation Tournament. We lost again but enjoyed seeing good teams play. 25 We roll up our sleeves and get shot for diphtheria. ' 26 27 Flomot tournament. Our boys won first place. All tournamentplayers-Buddy Holcomb, Reba .To Barrett. Feb. 14 Valentine party in Gym-Heap big time. Thanks to home-room mothers. , 18 Our boys win district basketball tournament-Don Lewis, Buddy Holcomb, Lynn Rhoderick selected for all district team. 24 Basketball boys win first game at Lubbock Regional Meet--lost 2nd game to Dawson. Don Lewis selected all regional player. 24 Father-Son F'.F.A. Banquet in Gym. 25 Girls win Turkey Invitation Basketball Tournament, defeated Matador 26-27, Estelline 24-7, andFrenship29-23. Patsy Stark, Betty Ruth Merrell, and Addie Bee Carroll on all tournament six. Mar. l The final pages of annual goes to press. Staff gives a sigh of relief. Next mile- stone fbesides passing all those very interesting courses, Junior and Senior plays. An annual is a great invention, The school gets the fameg The printer gets the money, and the staff gets the blame. Freshman: 'I don't know'. Junior: 'I don't remember.' Sophomore: 'I for-g0t', Senior: Well, I can't add anything to what has been said.'
