Although English is the most common subject at Q.H.S., it never fails to bring groans and moans from the students. It proves to be a struggle with correct and proper grammar and it includes the use of films, recordings, speeches, IQ tests and book reviews. However, all Southerners want to speak correctly, and what better way of learning can they find than in an English class? Don't ya'II agree? Mr. Howell's classes improve their reading ability through the use Linda Hatcher, Hugh Stephens and Jack Higdon use the record of weekly tests—one of those SRA teaching machines—a new player for education and literary appreciation, system at Q.H.S. 10
