CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND HIS STAFF MR. JAMES A. SHANKS, Supervising Principal: A. B., Arkansas College; B.S., M.S., Peabody College; Grad- uate Work, University of Florida. THEY WANT YOU IN 'THE OFFICE!' The Office is perhaps the most used phrase in the everyday conversation at Quincy High. It can readily create an at- mosphere of fear, relief, hope and even loyalty. The staff of workers, Mr. Shanks, Mr. Streetman, Mrs. Hampton, and a group of volunteers from the senior girls are always willing to assist with any task. Mr. Shanks, as Chief Executive, makes all major decisions. He is always avail- able for counselling which has proven to be based on sound judgement. He is ably assisted by Mr. Streetman who enjoys the post of Vice Executive. He shares equal respect with Mr. Shanks and can be counted upon to fill in at any time. Mrs. Hampton works full-time as secre- tary and bookkeeper. She has as her per- sonal aides several junior and senior girls who volunteer to work during one of their free periods every day. Competent, friendly, and always help- ful is the office staff of 1960-1961. MR. HAROLD STREETMAN, Assistant Principal: Bi- ology; B.S., M.Ed., Mississippi State University; Ad- vanced Graduate Work, Florida State University. MRS. LUCIA HAMPTON, School Secretary: Brown's Business College. 7
