M I ss JESSIE BRAKENSIEK Q In the fall of 1929, the pioneer days of the Class of '32, a class ventured forth into l the unknown under the leadership of these class oflicers: President, Walter Sturhahng I Vice President, Pauline Albright, Secretary, Esther Whitefield, Treasurer, Bailey Ward. The class was capably guided by their sponsor, Miss Jessie D. Brakensiek. Among the enjoyable events of the first year was the annual sophomore party. Q During the school year of 1930-31, these ofiicers were elected: Margaretjo Cook, President, Walter Sturhahn, Vice President, Ferne Webel, Secretary, and Oliver Holt, Treasurer. The Junior play, The Whiteheaded Boy , directed by Miss Mildred Q Daugherty, merited its splendid success. At the junior-Senior reception the class Q humbly served the Seniors. Q At last they entered that year of school which once seemed so distant. The Senior play, Tons of Money , directed by Miss Daugherty, was a dramatic success. Q Football, basketball and track squads, coaches and members of the Board of Q Education were guests at the senior athletic banquet which was sponsored by the Q class. Q Soon the members of the class of '32 will fold their tents and though they Steal Q away on many trails, they will always remember their classmates and the kindness Q and splendid understanding of their teachers Who have helped to make their years Q of school life successful and happy.
