Straitbac Mary Reed, Mrs Landfield Gerald Barkdoll, Chet Anna Stambaugh, Peggy Walter Minnick, Ted David Monn, Bob Nancy Wagaman, Dee LaRue Simmers, Elizabeth Peckwood Directors Wilma DeBernardi Wilbur Sanders As the play opens, the scene at the Landfield home is peaceful, but there seems to be a bit of uncertainty in the mind of the bride, Peggy Landfield, to whether or not the groom, Bob Ludlow, really loves her With this doubt also present in the mind of Chet Ames, the best man, the surface calm of the opening scene disappears and things begin to happen The bridegroom and best man clash over the mention of Jinks Jackson, the girl in Bobs past 'The Uninvited Jester,' Jinks hereelf, appears at the bride's home several days before the wedding, determined to win Bob bacx. At this point Bob is concerned, Chet is delighted, Jinks is determined and Peggy is worried. Peggy's parents are rather dismayed by the change in their peaceful domestic scene although their maid is quite unconcerned by it all. The m1nieter,Reverend Straitbac, and one of his influential church members and an old maid, Mies Eliz- abeth Peckwood, always appear at the most unexpected moments to investigate the propriety of the apmroaching wedding. More strangers to the br1de's family con- tinue to arrive in the persons of Ted Romen and Dee Dalton, friends of Jinks. Confusion reigns supreme but not for too long. Jinks is quite clever and skillful. She soon makes a match between Dee Dalton and Chet Ames, Peggy Land- field and Ted Romer, and wins Bob for her svn. ' QW 5? Q LV, 'rv N . B , f 5 ,ff a. ' K 't .
