The Trojan's '73 basketball season, as does March, came in like a lamb and went out like a lion. Quincy upset FRL Champ Herlong in their last league game and then went on to take the Plumas Invitational, a hustling finish to an otherwise spotty season. Seniors Dana Black and Willie Hamilton were outstanding most of the season, but smooth offensive team work and steady defense were often lacking, and the team ended up 12-10, third in the league. Seniors Gary Miller and Ellis Davis helped the cause. For next year Coach Blasi has Rick Spears, John Mansell, Tom Patillor, Jim Blesse, and several potential hard courters from the Junior Varsity. This year's Junior Varsity had that kind of season. Once in a while they'd play a real swisher, the defense would be click, ball handling would work, and the Trobabes would post a win. The squad's season record was poor, but the team's hustle, willingness, and improvement gave promise of help for the '74 Trojans. Oscar Stampke, Mike Littlefield, Jeff Ray, Steve Green, and Barry Gossett were usually the starting five; but Tim Kurpjuwelt, John Marian, Chris Dellinger, Ron Logan, Brian Compton, Mark Morgan, Marvin Belvin, Jay Wright, and Ron Richardson assisted them in their goals. ADMINISTRATION ’73 ■ 100 The 1972-73 school year has been an exciting one. It is the year in which we moved into our new building. It is also the year during which we went through the accreditation procedures. In addition, students and staff members worked on new ideas for scheduling curriculum. Schools must meet the challenge of a changing world. We hope that we may continue our efforts to do so. Vincent E.
