Dagfinn arrived in Quincy in Augusf of l957 and made his American home wifh fhe Tulsa Scoff family. l-le was readily accepfed by fhe communify and fhe sfudenfs here af Quincy l-ligh. l-le was elecfed Sfudenf Council Represenfafive of fhe Senior Class and foolc parf in all senior sponsored acfivifies. l-le was a member of fhe phofography sfaff, vice presidenf of fhe Arf Club, and a member of fhe fraclq feam. The Sfudenf Council presenfed Dagfinn wifh a school sweafer, and from fhe Senior Class, he received a small farewell giff. We hope fhaf fhis year af Quincy will be among Dag's fondesf memories, for we lcnow fhaf we will always remem- ber fhis wonderful year wifh him. SEZVIIIR CLA SS .HIS T018 Y The Class of l958, fhe largesf class fo graduafe from Quincy High School, again had a very oufsfanding year. The school year of '57-'58 was filled wifh many senior sponsored acfivifies, one of fhe more imporfanf being fhe Senior Ball. The Ball was held in fhe Girls Gym on December l4. lf was fhe oufsfanding social evenf of fhe year as was fhe Junior Prom of fhe '56-'57 school year. The fheme was Sayonara. The gym was well decorafed and showed fhe cooperafion of fhe whole class. Anofher imporfanf Class of '58 sponsored acfivify was fhe infroducfion of fhe Foreign Exchange Sfudenf Program fo Q.l-l.S. This program broughf fo fhe fown and school Dagfinn Fausa from Norway. The Senior Class in cooperafion wifh fhe PTA. obfained sufficienf funds fo sponsor fhe annual graduafion parfy. The class, also, in appreciafion of fhe happy years af Q.l-l.S., presenfed fo fhe school a plague which will always serve as a reminder of fhe worlc done by fhis fine class. The class graduafed some of fhe mosf oufsfanding afhlefes in fhe 45-year hisfory of fhis school. Several members of fhe class held prominenf posifions in fhe fine concerf band. There were also six seniors in fhe dance orchesfra. Life members of C.S.l:. are George Glover, Diclc Sfowell, and Perry lvlafhis. Members of fhe class on fhe sfudenf council are Johnny Gay, Presidenfq George Glover, Vice Presidenfp Mariory Buus, Secrefaryg Dick Sfowell, Dagfinn Fausa, Sandra Kenned ,Cafh- erine Cavanagh, Earl Defriclc and Larry lvlclxluff as ofher members of fhe councifi The class foolc parf in all school acfivifies and played a big parf in malcing fhis year fhe finesf year in rhe school hisfory.
