Sophomore Class History The Sophomore Class started out witl1 success this year. They took first place with their float at Homecoming. The theme was King Football . The decorations consisted of a large football with a crown, a football player, and a yell leader. Around the edge was written the motto: Co-operation Plus Effort Equals success. l'l fl the SO Jhomore Class was Dorothy Laplander. She seryecl as 0 The Homecoming queen cant 1C ate 'om 1 nc of the attendants at the Homecoming football game. The I. V. Football team was made up largely of sophomores. The eleven sophomore first stringers sparked thefteam to a well-earned second place in the Feather River League. Many of the boys also played basketball and baseball and participated in track. Several outstanding sophomores were in the C.S.F. These students were Perry Mathis, Dick Stowell, George Glover, and Charles Train. Th sophomores ended their year with the Sophomore Hop. which was held in the spring. They also had a class picnic. At both of these events, a good time was had by all.
