JUNIOR CLASS Left to right: L. Engdahl, S. Howell, A. Cochran, and J. Howe. OFFICERS — ---------------------------President — — - - — -------- - Vice President ---------------------------- Secretary -------------------Council Representative CLASS HISTORY The Junior Class spent most of the year a feudin with the seniors. (Of course, the juniors usually won.) The float for Homecoming was quite nice, entitled The Champ. It was a scene with a Trojan standing between two pillars and with two injured Indians lying on the ground. The queen candidate was Anne Johns. There were many outstanding boys out for sports. In football some of the outstanding juniors were Gordon Thompson, Burce Kurtz, Jerry Howe, Willie McKnight, Kenneth Hobbs, Dan Wilson, Ray Kenny, Duane Stites, Eddie Myers, Connie Mason, David Beall, Wilbert Berry, and John Lee. Many other boys went out for basketball, track, and baseball. Many other juniors were active in school activities and clubs. Only one junior, Lynn Engdahl, was on the C.S. F. Todd Petty and Gene Davis had the honor of serving as student body vice president and secretary, respectively. Two yell leaders and two song leaders were from the Junior Class. The yell leaders were Leone Hard and Lena Wertz, and the song leaders were Dixie Fross and Virginia Huntington. The Junior Prom was held on March 26. There was a big crowd present; it seemed a success. The juniors look forward to an active senior year. JERRY HOWE - -LYNN ENGDAHL SUSIE HOWELL -ALICE COCHRAN
