Senior Class Prophecy A Glimpse of the Class of 1953 in the year of 1963. Joan Cotter is still working at the Town Hall trying to pay for her car. Shirley Coleman is now Miss America. She lifted one thousand pounds. Peggy Hillis is working for Ringling Brothers. She's the fat lady. Howard Stites and Herman Johnson are head coaches at the University of California. Shirley Hyde is still at Santa Rosa J. C. studying to be a lawyer. Gayle Jackson is head mechanic at General Motors. Robert Garey is public enemy 1, and Gayle Shulmire is his gun moll. Dorothy Jeskey is a bubble dancer at Club Chico Chico. Carolyn Wigg is confidential secretary to the President of the United States. Linnie Barry is editor of the New York Times. Carol Smith is running for President on the Republican Ticket. Swanold Rogers is now on a diet. She was head candy taster for the Sweet Candy Company. Cliff Graham is hunting lions in deep, dark, Africa. Bill Blankenship is still putting up arguments for having the Senior Ball in the Spring. Eddie Combs married Margaret Truman and now leads a life of leisure. Katherine Egbert is representing the U. S. in the Olympic games. Bobby Jester is running a hot dog stand on Coney Island. Joyce Nelson has just joined the Air Force. Adella York is champion bronc rider of the World Rodeo at Pendleton, Oregon. Virginia LeRoy is giving Betty Grable competition in Hollywood. Henri Moser is Hollywood's new swoon guy. He's Virginia's leading man. Robert Hanley, five time divorcee, is sitting on top of the world. Sharlene Huffman is the world’s only woman hot rod driver. Betty Egbert and Alice York are teaching a cooking school for brides. Doris Gray just swam the Atlantic Ocean in record time (three months). Leslie Wertz is conducting a sight-seeing bus in New York City. Melvin Ramsey is official crack counter for the Timbuctoo sidewalk commission. Yvonne Detrick is triangle player for the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra. Leland Mansuetti is leading an expedition to the Arctic to find out if dill pickles grow there. Jim Ferguson and Jon Geil are still trying to discover a way to use flash bulbs twice. Charlie Jenkins is teaching a jitterbug school in Iceland. Phillip Clarke is making simulated diamonds out of China Rock. Georgia Becker and Lois Morton are still waiting for the Navy to dock. Ann Alden and Geniene Ames are friends no more. They are running for Miss Career Girl of 1963 in competition with each other. Jimmy Powell has graduated from changing marques and is now manager of the Town Hall Theatre. Tanis Train.............can think of a prophecy for everyone else, but hasn't thought of one for herself yet.
