Jackson. jumofis The Junior Class had a good year in athletics this year. Tom Halliburton, who played halfback on the football team, received the trophy for good sportsmanship. James Warren, who is also a junior, was one of the best players on the A basketball team. The Class of 51 is outstanding in scholarship also. The Junior class included a large part of the students enrolled in the California Scholarship Federation. Honor students are: Douglas Stowell, class president, Margaret Young, Joan Griffin, Jackie Brown, Loren Lawson, Eddie Beall, and Hazel Hamlin. SBPHOmOfitS The Sophomore Class started off right this year with two excellent advisors, Miss Holmes and Mr. Burns. Two outstanding achievements of the year were: their winning second prize in the Annual Homecoming Parade; and their being represented in the Homecoming Queen Contest by representative, “Bunny” Gambell. The next major accomplishment for the group was the staging of their annual Sophomore Hop. The theme was “Harvest Moon”, and everyone will remember it as one of the best dances of the school year.
