Text from Pages 1 - 168 of the 1987 volume:

To the students of Q.H.S.: This year began with many problems for the 1987 Oriole and its staff. We have tried our best to bring you an annual that you will cherish as a reminder of these high school days. I would like to express appreciation to my staff, especially our advisor, Karen Hutchins. Also, I would like to thank Mrs. Natusch and Ron Philbrick of Carousel. Without them this annual wouldn't be possible. As editor, my desire is that each individual who leafs through the pages of this book will find a memory or two with special meaning for him her. If this is so, then our goal is attained. To you, students of Q.H.S., we now present our 1987 Oriole Annual. Sincerely, Tammie Hutchins, Editor s T A F F Top Photo: Erica Ewers, relaxing or working? Bottom Photo: Staff Members Brenda Manley and Tammie Hut- chins, pushing for a copy deadline. In addition to those pictured above, our staff consisted of the following: Jackie Cash, Leslie Hilton, Amy Loose, Holly Moore, Tina Myers, Lori Stayner, and Kelli Strouse A Future Yearbook Editor? 3 Class of 1987 As the class of eighty-seven departs, And we go our separate ways, We'll hold and treasure in our hearts. Our many, happy, high school days. May we all move on to live and learn. As God guides us through our future lives, We'll discover new tricks as the tables turn. We'll then move on to face our strives. We'il remember all the high school dances, We'll remember all our friends, We'll remember all the quick romances, And that is how our story ends. Just a line before we go, And before we begin to cry, To let all our friends and neighbors know, The Class of 87 says Good-bye.'' Their 6-15 record included wins over the top teams in the Big 8 Conference: Concord, Union City, Athens, and Conference champ, Jonesville. (All on their floor.) We had a Big tournament win over Bronson, 50-46 in overtime. Six of our 15 losses were 6 pts. or less. With the JV's having a good record and the Varsity players returning, we should get back on the winning trail. The team voted Jeff Brown, a 3-year varsity player, most valuable. They voted Doug Tanner, who will be a senior next year, as most improved. The League Coaches voted Jeff Brown, Jason Coolman and Clint Cook as Honorable Mention All-League Players.
