CLASS POEM We stand on the edge of our future. Eager to stand on our own two feet, Yet unsure where to place the first step. We have waited for this moment with Apprehension, and now find that it is Not the confident step we had imagined, But merely a blind push forward. Yet we make this move, As so many before us have done. Some shall achieve greatness, Some shall feel the depression of failure, And many shall merely exist. But we shall be remembered as being eager To meet the unsure demands of an uncertain world. And we shall survive. Merely because we are who we are. The Class of 1975. And how many dreams can we make come true Before we reach the end? ANDREW MILLS STEVEN NICKERSON The answer my friend is deep within our souls The answer is deep within our souls. How many vows that we made long ago Will turn into dust and to sand? And how many wrongs can we make right Before we run out of time? The answer my friend is deep within our souls, The answer is deep within our souls. How many stars will we reach out to touch Before we realize our goals? And how many tears will fall to the ground Before we learn to be kind? The answer my friend is deep within our souls, the answer is deep within our soul. How many times must we shout each other down, Before we all understand? And how many miles will our weary feet tread, Before we may come to a rest? Keeton's laugh, in the skits. 40 Taking a Look At News Focus and Project Christmas This year Project Christmas supported more families than ever before. The News Focus class worked hard to get money, which in turn would be used for food, clothing, toys and misc. The students had to spend time fixing many of the toys and items that were donated. Items had to be sorted before they could be wrapped. The items were then wrapped and put back in their same piles. They were then taken and put into boxes for each family. The students then delivered these boxes to the families that they were supporting in the community. 41 YM.C.A.
