This year the QHS Juniors had the opportunity to attend the 25th YMCA Youth in Government session at the State Capitol in Lansing, April 5th, 6th, and 7th. The three days consisted of electing a Y outh Governor, setting up two Houses and two Senates, which then in turn submitted , voted and acted on various bills made up by the students from all 18 schools involved. The kids who went had a good chance to exchange new ideas and rap about current problems. Friday night there was a huge banquet, followed by a dance, with the group, THEATER, from E. Lansing. After that, the floor parties, and late night excursions helped to bring the more than 600 kids closer together for the closing ceremony and send off. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!
