Mr. Lloyd Hill Quincy High School has a new principal. Mr. Lloyd Hill became the principal of Quincy High this past November. Mr. Hill is a quiet efficient man who intends to maintain the pro- grams of Mr. Creighton. Mr. Hill has been seen around the school trying to get to know the numerous students and faculty. Mr. Hill comes to Quincy High School with an abundance of experience. He has been involved with education for twenty years. Mr. Hill taught in Pittsfield for a year, and in Canton High for three, where he also coached football. For twelve years he was a social studies teacher at North Quincy. In 1973 Mr. Hill became Assistant Principal at Sterling. From 1973 until 1978 he was Assistant Principal at North Quincy High School. In 1971 Mr. Hill attended Suffolk Law school nights and received his degree in law. Mr. Hill feels that this law back- ground will prove useful in dealing with disciplinary problems and has worked on committees to revise such things as the Students Rights bulletin. Mr. Hill is also trying to involve parents into their chil- dren's education. In The Homeline, Mr. Hill stressed the importance of the basic skills issue and encouraged parent participation. Mr. Hill is a soft spoken level headed man who tries to get people together in order that the school function more effi- ciently. It is with great pleasure that the Goldcnrod staff welcomes new principal Mr. Lloyd Hill and offers him the support of the entire student body. Mr. Lloyd Hill

Mr. Creighton is happy with the changes he has instituted at Quincy High School. Two changes he might have made had he stayed on was to try to involve parents more with their children's educations and to have promoted career education for young women. Mr. Creighton retired to Sarasota, Florida and expressed the thought that he would like to get a part time administrative job in Florida. Mr. Creighton would bring a tremendous amount of experience with him to such a position. He started out as a teacher in 1941 at a small school in New Hampshire. He taught four different science and math classes. He was also the basketball, touch football, and girls’ softball coach. Mr. Creighton’s career in teach- ing has only been interrupted once, when he served three years in the army during World War II. He forecast the weather and taught others to do the same. Mr. Creighton said that he had no regrets, and tfiat he leaves the school on good terms with the faculty and staff. Mr. Creighton returned to the school for graduation ceremonies in June. During Mr. Creighton’s fifteen years at Quincy High School he continuously encouraged all the students and supported the programs he introduced. Mr. Creighton has developed a closer relationship between Teachers and students, making the process of education more enjoyable and responsive. The changes Mr. Creighton has instituted will continue to favorably effect the quality of education in the future. The yearbook staff, on behalf of the students of Quincy High School, is happy to extend a heartfelt thanks and a wish for happiness in the future for Mr. Lloyd Creighton. Mr. Lloyd M. Creighton
