DEDICATION Mrs. Ann Cannon Mrs. Shirley Healey The dedication of the 1977 GOLDENROD to Mrs. Cannon and Mrs. Healey was an idea that received enthusiastic and unanimous sup- port from the Senior Class. Need anything in the Guidance Office from lunch tickets to college applications? Then these two helpful ladies, with a combined experience of 19 years in the Quincy Public School System, will efficiently and cheerfully supply the necessary information. Consistently concerned for the students of Quincy High, Mrs. Cannon and Mrs. Healey have earned the gratitude of thou- sands of seniors over the years. We, the class of 1977, realize that the entire school is fortunate to be able to rely on two ladies who truly operate the office for the benefit of the students. Therefore, we take great pleasure in dedicating the GOLDENROD to two fine people who are, themselves, dedicated to the students. Thank you very much, Mrs. Cannon and Mrs. Healey! 4

Memories are embedded through repetition. The homeroom period is a part of the high school experience that few students will forget. An anxious glance at the clock is followed by the reassurance by the teacher that the cards haven’t gone up yet. Perhaps there will be several announcements over the loud speaker or the homeroom teacher will try to collect yet another in an endless series of forms needing parental signatures. Some students catch up on news with their friends and others review for an up-coming test or put the finishing touches on an assignment due first period. At precisely 8:1 2 when the bell rings, the room rises as one to start the day. 6
