': zfifqfffw' EMWHWHEHMMQSHWWME Wimammmhwdamm BRQDE HIUSIE PRUGIRQVH One Friday evening, April 9th, all the grade stu- dents of the Quimby Consolidated School presented a music program. All of the numbers or skits were original. The grade faculty are all to be highly complimented on the fine work in writing up the numbers and developing them for the excellent presentation. The program opened with the lower grades presenting Hmother Goose on Parade.u The stage was set with a large shoe, with the windows and the door. Out of 'the door came many characters of our Hother Goose rhymes. After taking their places on the stage several games were played by the various small groups. Some'of these games inelud ed 'Peas Porridge Hotg' 'Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat' and 'Hickory Dickory Dock.' This number ended with a grand finale, the group singing the original song, nMother Goose on Parade.N The second number of the patriotic number, Uncle Sam's fourth grades. As the little evening' was a very fitting Helpers, by the third and boys and girls sang'the pop ular songs o the day, we had nurses,'army doctors, scrap metal and salvage collectors at work, the school children bu ina defense stam s a review of sailors, soldiers, and Y Q P J marines, each showing what their the present world crisis. Our junior high school under Nelson gave us a very interesting Stephen Foster. Durkies we had a smell girls visiting with Stephen on the visit or interview. Folks respective part is in the direction of Mies review of the life of plenty. The three Ppster did a good job always love' to hear groups sing the Stephen Foster Melodies. Truly, the numb ber nhemories with Stephen Fostern was well presented, and songs filled the hearts of all those present. Our primary, first and second graders walked off with flying colors as they 'played a group of numbers a- dapted for their rhythm band. The outstanding number played by the rhythm band was HThe Stars and Stripes For- ever.n Our fifth and sixth grades closed the evening with an interpretation of NThis Is The Army.N The following ' ' -- ' f K ' pgdngx
