EIRL RESERVE EURTOU After many meetings, hard work, and an excellent dis play of the spirit of cooperation, the Girl Reserves held a very successful Bake Sale and Bazaar on Wednesday even- ing, February 24. At a meeting on March 5, the motion was made, seconded, and approved that the Girl Reserve Bake Sale and Bazaar be made an annual G. R. affair. Mrs. Mortensen gave a very interesting talk on her interpreta- tion of the meaning and significance to be found in the letters, nP,0,R,R.' On March 51, a special meeting of the Girl Reserves was called to decide whether or not the club should pur- chase a davenport and chair set for the Rest Room of the school. The girls' decision was that the G..R.'s would pay 320.00 toward buying it if the Activity Fund of the school would pay the other Rl5.00. This set will also be available for use in plays and other activities in the school. Mr. Mortensen attended the Girl Reserve meeting on April 2, and the girls all enjoyed his excellent talk on U ersonality and Attitudes.n At a meeting held on April 20, the G. R. members made plans for the nclosing-outu party of the Girl Reserve year. The party was a weiner roast held at Buckley's on May 5. After school,the girls hiked to the picnic spot, and had a very enjoyable time preparing the lunch. This was the last Girl ' Reserve gathering of the year '42-'43, and at this party, each , ,s ,, .V

The Girl Reserve organization has had a very success ful year, due to the ability and willingness of the girls to work together and help wherever they could be of ser- vice.
